On March 18th, 2021 Sarasas Ektra organized a Pinata activity and farewell ceremony for the Yr.12 students, Batch 22, as a farewell before finishing secondary school. In the morning session a ceremony was held with the children in Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary levels at the hallway of St. Dominic I-2 building. In the afternoon session there was a Farewell ceremony in the Seminar room of St. John the Baptist building.
During the Pinata activity teacher representatives gave blessings and student representatives, both senior and junior, expressed their feelings about their studies at Ektra. Then the Yr.12 students gave a gift bag containing candies to each class teacher in KG.1-2 and Yr.1 – 2 to give to the children in their classes. These candies were a symbol of love and affection that the seniors wanted to give their younger generation. There was also a raffle with gifts for the juniors as well.
Later in the afternoon session a farewell ceremony was held in which an administrator representative joined in the conversation and spoke about the students in Batch 22. This was followed by student representatives in each class telling of their good feelings towards the teachers and Sarasas Ektra School. In addition, all students received a Holy thread and sacred tree from teachers and administrators before returning to their classrooms to perform the farewell to Building and classrooms ceremony and to receive blessings from class teachers. The atmosphere was full of warmth and good memories of all that that occurred here within the boundaries of Sarasas Ektra School.
