Sarasas Ektra continued with its long tradition of holding Christmas Drama shows during the build up to the Christmas holidays. The shows for the Academic Year of 2016 for KG.1-Yr.12 students were held from 19th -22nd Dec. 2016. This year each department hosted their own shows at their respective campuses.

For Infants there were shows in the morning and on the first day the Infants chorus performed too.

In Primary there were shows in the morning and in the afternoon (a total of 9 classes spread over both sessions). The Junior Chorus performed on the 2nd and final day.

Secondary held their shows in one long session starting in the morning and finishing in the afternoon. Many parents came to support and cheer on the students at all campuses.

All the students (at al departments) had an opportunity to showcase their acting, musical and linguistic talents on the stage in front of an audience. Foreign and Thai homeroom teachers directed all the performances. The shows gave the students (and teachers) a wonderful opportunity to develop their confidence, display their creativity and to cultivate their teamwork skills. There was a real sense of unity throughout the Christmas show week.

During the shows, parents were given an opportunity to take a big group stage photo and everyone was really impressed with the final performances.

This year, each department had a different set of awards and criteria. Judging panels were set up individually and these and the categories are noted below.

Infants - Best Overall show - Awarded to one class in each year (except NC) - KG1D, KG2D, KG3B
Most Creative Props and Costumes - Awarded to one class in each year (except NC) - KG1E, KG2E, KG3C
