Strengthen relationships among Ektra’s family for the academic year 2020

On Friday, July 24, 2020, from 12.00 to 12.30 pm, the Secondary Department organized the sixth activity to strengthen relationships among Ektra’s family for the academic year 2020 with the objective to build good friendships and cooperation between senior and junior students at the secondary level.
Ms. Pattaraporn, Assistant Director, Secondary Department, and Pastoral Care spoke to students regarding preparation for study and social matters at Secondary level. Mr. Kamjorndej Kitmunjaleorn, the Head of Secondary Academic, said the purpose of the activity was to create cooperation among all students, especially Yr. 10 students, to focus on learning and determine to do everything the best. Ms. Supawadee Chotiwannaporn, Vice-director Academic, Primary and Secondary, spoke about the feelings and attachment towards the Batch 22nd and 24th students, wanting all students to live together as brothers and sisters, helping, supporting and respecting one another. Ms. Supawadee also told the students to “treat others like they would want people to treat themselves”. This is what Director Pisut Yongkamon always says.
Due to the current situation, the type of activity this year was different from previous years. This year, senior student representatives from Yr. 12 who stood for election as Student President talked and shared experiences and good advice in various fields through ‘Ektra Characters’ with Yr. 10 students as follows.
1. Respect and honor each other
2. Patience in the face of obstacles
self-discipline and rules for social responsibility, giving examples of discipline in wearing masks and keeping social distance as preventive measures against COVID 19.
3. Unity as teamwork among friends, juniors and seniors. Examples of unity in activities that must be done together include the Color Sports, which create love, harmony and unity, doing CSR, and volunteering to do good deeds without expecting anything in return but happiness.
The activities with sharing life experiences of high school student, including learning, duty, and responsibilities. The school would like young students to harvest as much as experience as possible, including participating in school activities to accumulate efforts and attainments into their portfolios and profiles. Students are also advised to prepare early to have your own goals and be ready to prepare for university education.
The activity closed by singing the song ‘We are Ektra’ in which all the teachers, administrators, and students sang in unison with smiles of happiness and the warmth of the Ektra family. Finally, Yr. 10 students received cards made by Yr.12 students. All students who participated in this activity were happy, had fun, and also built a good relationship among brothers and sisters.
