Silpa Bhirasri Day activities

On Tuesday 15 September Primary and Secondary Departments conducted Silpa Bhirasri Day activities to commemorate Professor Silpa Bhirasri who is regarded as the ‘Father of Contemporary Thai Art’.

Silpa Bhirasri was the founder of Silpakorn University and was both an artist and a great philosopher of Rattanakosin City. He was the creator of Solidarity of Thai Art circles. These have prospered right up to the present. They have allowed students to express their opinions and imagination through works of art displayed at the Auditorium, 4th floor, 6th Building.

This year, Vice-director Bussararat Kerdpermpoon presided over the opening ceremony and handed out certificates to students who participated in the exhibition on Silpa Bhirasri Day. This year the exhibition was arranged into display booths of students of various Multiples Intelligence skills in five categories: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Ceramic, and Digital Painting. During the day, Yrs.1-6 classes were granted time periods to visit the exhibition.
