Sarasas Ektra School Guidance Department held Guidance Counseling on 30th – 31st July 2014 at the Secondary Campus and the Auditorium at Primary for Senior Secondary Students to find out more about their future studies at University. The Activities will help students choose Universities that specialize in their capabilities and study areas . Moreover it will help Junior Secondary Students to start thinking about this topic too. The Activities also bring to our students attention the paths our Alumni took to further their education and living. The Activities were:
• Booths for study paths from Universities. There were 23 Universities who attended including: Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University, TEP/TEPE Project, Thammasat University, Thammasat University International Program, Chulalongkorn University Faculties of Engineering and Science,, The Institute of Technology Thai-Japan, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology, Mahidol University International College, Silpakorn University International College, Ritsmeikan Asia Pacific University and Dusit Thani College. The senior and junior secondary students were very interested in the booths with all sorts of information on degrees and scholarships.
• Exchanging ways to be ready for a degree in University (Knowledge Management): the Alumni students set up panel for students to ask questions. There were a total of 19 alumni students on the panel: Mr. Badin Piyathanasirikul 8th graduating group (Music), Mr. Nuttachai Taechajirakul 8th graduating group (Pharmacy), Miss Kojchakorn Pusapapong 10th graduating group (Accounting), Mr. Nuttapol Cotthong 12th graduating group (Civil Aviation), Mr. Tantum Rungwit 13th graduating group (Communication of Art), Mr. Thananop Kanchanawuttisit 13th graduating group (Bachelor of Fine and Applied Arts in Theatre), Mr. Ruj Sukkerdkitpiboon 13th graduating group (Medicine), Mr. Jirawat Suntiwarodom 14th graduating group (SIIT Chemical Engineering), Mr. Pitune Suksabai 14th graduating group (Medicine) and Miss Juntakan Wangwattaka 14th graduating group (Law). Frequently asked questions were: How to choose degree? How to prepare for a degree? How do I know which degree to choose? Is it difficult to study? The MC’s were Mr. Ronkit Srisupornwichai Yr.12A and Miss Uratsaya Changkol Yr.11C.
• 3. Expert Lecture: “How to be ready for University”: Senior Secondary Students had the chance to listen to Professor Dr. Weerawan Worawut, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Stamford International University on Thursday 31st July 2014 at the Auditorium 09.00am – 11.00am. They found her advice both practical and informative in helping to think about their future studies.
