World Environment Day is the 5th June of every year. The first World Environment day was held on 5th June 1972, around 33 years ago. The science group with the guidance of the high school science teachers set up activities for World Environment Day on Thursday 5th June 2014 with the purpose of making students to think more about the environment and learn to recycle in a beneficial way. Everyone should save the environment by decreasing trash to help rehabilitate the environment for the future.
Activities
: Exhibits about the history of World Environment Day.
: Exhibit 1A 3R for Saving Electricity 1A = (Awareness). Calculating Electricity usage and knowing how to recycle. 3R = (Recycle, Reuse, Reduce)
: Giving speeches in both Thai and English in the topic “Raise your voice. Not The sea Level”.
: Singing Saving Environment songs and performing music together.
: Creative Contest “Idea Recycle Paper”: The contest will use recycled paper from newspapers, magazines and milk boxes to make beautiful goods such as lamps, jars and chairs.
The contest was divided into 3 Year sections: Yr.7-8-9.
