Sarasas Ektra Primary Department hosted the National's Father Day on the 4th of December 2014 to recall the Royal Grace of his Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej together with the kindness of all fathers. There was a morning celebration for Y.1 and Y.3-Y.6 students and an afternoon ceremony for Y.2 students and their fathers and families.

The morning Celebration started with reading the praise to the King and singing Sa Du Dee Ma Ha Ra Cha. After that there was some wonderful student shows to celebrate Father's Day 2014:

1.) Traditional Thai Dancing to "Father of the Land."
2.) A Primary Drama Club performance of "My Father, My Inspiration."
3.) A Primary Musical Performance fusing Thai and Western instruments of "White Lotus."
4.) The Ektra Junior Chorus sang "A Present from a Clod of Earth."
5.) Thai Instrument Band performed "The Father of the Land." (The song from the stage show See Pan Din, The Musical)
6.) The Ektra Primary Chorus sang " Love at Sundown." (The song was written by HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej)
7.) Ektra Mini Orchestra performed "No Moon." (The song was written by HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej)

After the shows finished, the director, Mr. Pisut Yongkamol presented awards and certificates to students who won the various Father's Day Competitions::

1.) Writing Story from Picture Contest Y. 1: The winner was Mstr. Krittapas Naruponjirakul of Y.1C.

2.) Writing story from Picture Contest Y.2: The winner was Mstr. Kaittipoom Taenkriasorn Y.2B.

3.) Writing story from Picture Contest Y.3: The winner was Miss Chitchanok Boonprakongwong Y.3F.

4.) Polite Poem Writing Contest Y.4: The winner was Miss Tuangrat Jirasupakul Y.4A.

5.) Speech Contest Y.5-Y.6: The winner was Miss Chalisa Sumpan Y.6C.

After that the director presented the certificates to student's representatives for all the shows and gave a speech to the students. The National Father's Day concluded with students singing "Tomorrow". Then everyone in the auditorium joined together singing "Sanseon Phra Barami". After that, there were group photographs with management, parents, and students from each show, and the students who received certificates.

For Afternoon activities, we invited fathers, and guardians of Y.2 students to watch a repeat performance of the morning celebration shows. After that, students and fathers played a game together. Then students sang the song for their fathers. It was an impressive scene for fathers and guardians with a great feeling of love and affection.

Director’s Speech: Father’s Day 2014

Hello to all students.
         Congratulations to students who received awards. Welcome to all parents, especially fathers, today is our school Father’s Day Celebration. Magic mirror on the wall, please tell me students from which school are the smartest students in Thailand. The Magic mirror said, “students from Sarasas Ektra Primary Department because the Director counted the students showing from Year 4, 5, 6 are almost half the total students from Year 4-6.” What we have been doing at Sarasas Ektra School is successful.
         Our School is going to be 20 years old next year. Sarasas Ektra is a child of Sarasas Pithaya which will be turning 50 years old next year too.
If we compare this age to humans, 20 years old will be like a young adult or teenage. Looking back over the past 20 years, I am proud. Our old teachers will understand because there are a lot of improvements of our school.
         The music today is good. Only the Violins were a little bit out of tune. It is not because of playing out of tune, but because of the change in temperature from in and out of air conditioning. Wood when cooled, will shrink, making it out of tune. I think the music teachers also know about it. But it is only a little mistake, other than that, I did not see any other mistake. The student’s performances were great. Ektra Juniors sang very well. Although there was a melody for students to follow, they still sang well. Students have a high ability because teachers train them. Teacher set up main melody, second melodies, third and fourth melodies for students. Students can do it or not, depends on the teacher. Primary students did well. There many smart students from year 4-6. The magic mirror said that Sarasas Ektra students are great. The stage shows are well done. The students who sit here also have different abilities, but today activities concentrate on the shows. When you go home today, ask the mirror, what kind of intelligence do you have?
         Today is a Father’s Day. I would like to cheer up to all fathers. I am as a father, today is a good day. I saw that all teachers have followed the way that I set up well. I could not go this far as of today without my father, and my father could not got this far without the King of Thailand. Thailand remains Thailand because of our King. Sarasas Ektra School March has the words, ‘Bhumibol is the heart of us and we can die to save him’. No matter what happens, the March words will not be changed because the King is the father of the land. I would like to see all of you love the King. Students please do not only watch cartoons. Students should watch about the King, too, so that you know what he has done for the land. Before bedtime, please pray for a long life for the King. Prayers from citizens are holy and powerful. Everything that I saw on stage today was of a standard suitable for our 20 year anniversary concert, it was great. All came from the guidance and teachings of class teachers, foreign teachers, in fact all teachers. This is proof of what the president said, he hoped all Sarasas Affiliated schools are like Sarasas Ektra School. I would like to compliment the management. If there is any teacher who does not understand why I like to see the shows, please follow my logic: Teachers think students have to miss the classes. Everyone is not born to be a doctor, or an engineer. Every kid is worthy for their parents. Have you ever heard of training a soldier 1000 days to win a one day battle? Teachers have to be tired to teach students music until they know and can tune their own instrument: you’ve succeeded! Trained students 1000 days, and we have seen the result today. Thank you everyone for the shows. The MC outfits match so well. Thank you all students. Thank you for being Thai and holding our King as the Idol of Thailand, and of the world. I hope you are being good kids for your fathers. Go home today, do not ask any gift from your dad because it is not a children’s day or your birthday. Tell your dad what you did today, what show, and the complimented you received: that you did well because your dad supported you to play music and for the show.

         Thank you all teachers and management. Secondary department hosted the show yesterday very well. Today Primary department also did very good almost as good as Secondary. If the older students do not improve, the younger one will do better. Today activities are very good. The planner planed very well. I hope for everyone’s happiness and success. When students return home today, show your father respect in a traditional Thai way. I hope you can do it. Goodbye.
