Science Week 2014

        On 18th August 1868 King Mongkut (King Rama IV) arrived at Tumbon Wakor, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province to observe a total eclipse of the sun. King Mongkut was able to accurately predict the eclipse 2 years in advance. Henceforth he was known as “the Father of Thai Science” and the 18th August was chosen to be the National Science Day which then became National Science Week from 18th -24th August every year.
Sarasas Ektra Primary Department organized Science Week to remember King Rama IV accomplishments and for students build up and improve Science Skills by doing science demonstrations, performing science experiments, presenting science facts and information about the topics they’ve been learning.
The Activities and Exhibits were:

- Exhibits of King Mongkut’s Science talents.
- Exhibits of World famous Scientists.
- Information on Plants, Internal Organs, the Solar System and Renewable Energy.
- Students’ models about the environment and ecology.

- How to make a human straw
Science Experiment Zone
- Magic Box
- Experiment Room 1: a. Disappearing Fire b. Where is Oxygen?

- Experiment Room 3: a. Huff and puff experiment b. Ice and Salt experiment
Sarasas Extra School invited Sarasas Witaed Saimai and Sarasas Witaed Minburi Schools to join us at Science Week this year to build stronger relationships between Sarasas Schools and improve science knowledge together.
