CSR Volunteer Camp ( Infant Dept. )

Our Infants Department hosted a “CSR” (Corporate Social Responsibility) project from the 5th– 9th of October 2015. The camp was run by volunteers from our teaching staff who specifically chose students that were good at Art as well as students who needed to extra support and additional practice in Mathematics and Thai. The project was aimed to support students and to help them achieve more knowledge in those particular subjects. A mix of students from KG.1-KG.3 enrolled in the camp, which was taught in specific subject groups:

1. Thai language
– Students learnt Thai language skills through reading and writing practice. Activities included mixing words through different learning mediums which helped students develop their recognition, speaking and reading abilities in Thai.

2. Mathematics
– This group focused on allowing students to strengthen their calculating, addition and subtraction skills. Students also practiced writing numbers. These activities helped students gain more confidence and knowledge when learning Math.

3. Art – Students who are creatively gifted were able to learn new techniques and gain additional knowledge about different art styles. They practiced drawing, coloring and some of the new techniques they were learning about to help them improve their skills in Art.

This type of project supports students to learn a variety of academic and creative skills that are important to help them develop as well-rounded students, to have the knowledge and ability to try their best and use their time wisely to excel in the future. This camp complies with the theory of M.I. in language and Mathematics.
