Save the World Activity ( Infant Dept. )

In conjunction with our Mother’s Day ceremony this year our school held a ‘Save the World’ activity, to help promote taking care of the environment and doing good things for our community and the people around us, a message close to the heart of Queen Sirikit, the queen of our Thai nation.

The activity was held in mid-July 2015, inviting students and parents from KG1-KG3 to volunteer their time and dedication to a variety of different public services such as, litter picking, either at home or at a beach, the local canal etc. Planting and taking care of our public gardens and nature reserves, saving water and electricity, conservation of animals and lastly participating in personal religious ceremonies or activities such as meditation to open your mind to awareness of people and the world around you.

Parents were asked to send in a photograph designed and decorated together with their child/children showing what activity or activities
they have been doing together with their kids to help ‘Save the World’. These pictures were then displayed at school (under building 1) for
everyone to see during the days leading up to and after our Mother’s day ceremony.

The Infant Department is very impressed by the amount of parents and students who took part in the activity. We were aiming to increase our student’s awareness about how to do good things and save the world and we are glad to say the activity was a big success.
