Our Infant Department ‘Open House’ activity openly encouraged new and existing parents to come and observe, join in with the activities and receive information about our curriculum and the teaching styles here at our school. The activities were hosted from the 18th -27th August 2015.
The activity was divided into many days each day one class (per year level) joined the activity from NC-KG.3 allowing parents from each class to visit the school and interested parents visited the school on 18th and 25th August 2015.
At the start of each day parents were asked to register in front of the canteen, where they were greeted and divided into groups ( per class)to join the activities. NC-KG.3 parents watched a live video broadcast of an English lesson taught by our foreign teachers. After that there were a variety of activities such as:
NC and KG.1 parents were invited into the classroom, where they played games with the whole family and watched shows presented by the students and parents.
KG.2 parents were encouraged to join in learning and playing interactive Media room games taught by our foreign teacher, aimed to help students match vocabulary with pictures. Our Thai teachers also presented the project that each class had been working on to the parents.
KG.3 parents also watched students present the work they had been doing on their Thai projects in the classroom. There was also an activity called “True love relationship” for parents and students to build love strengthen their relationship and warmth.
Prospective parents were welcomed to watch an informational video introducing our school, curriculum and teaching styles as well as photographs and clips of all students’ activities. Parents were also invited to listen to a speech and gather more information about our school from the director, Thai and foreign teachers and lastly given a tour around the school.
