Little Storytellers Activity ( Infant Dept. )

Linguistic Intelligence : Little Storytellers Activity
Thailand Knowledge (TK) Park, together with the Books for Children Foundation , the National Food Institute, the Ministry of Industry and the Mother & Care magazine, have initiated a project to foster intelligence by recruiting some 'little storytellers' under the concept “Create Happiness; Develop the Brain; Love to Read’’ to honour Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the occasion of her 60th birthday.

The Infant Department organized a Little Storytellers Activity on 29th and 30th June 2015 to encourage students who have communicative language skills and are creative in telling stories. From that we chose the students with best skills who then practiced in our school before being sent outside to TK Park every Saturday and Sunday from 25th July to 8th August 2015. Finally we had 12 students that were representative of our school. These students were excellent at telling stories in Thai and English.

Little Storytellers is a national competition across all sectors of pre-Primary schooling. The result from this year's competition is that four students from Sarasas Ektra's Infant Department reached the preliminary final of 100 contestants across the country and one student reached the grand final of 12 contestants.

Her name is Tanyaporn Shinwasusin from KG.3G.

She will compete in the final in October 2015.

The Little Storytellers Activity applies M.I. theory for linguistic intelligence. The activity enables students to show their skills in productive language and fosters knowledge by encouraging students to read more.
