Primary Department held a Multiple Intelligences Academic Fun Fair 2015 Activity for Semester 2, Academic Year 2015 on 5th February 2016. This was for the students from Yr.4 toYr.6 to learn more about their current talents and develop some new ones, in line with by Professor Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Theory.
The activities included shows from the Yr.4 to Yr.6 students. This included a drama play titled “The Breakfast Police”, a music performance with songs “LaoDuangDuan” and “Fly Me To The Moon”. Parents also got a chance to visit the booths that students had set up, to see their work. This allowed parents to see what the children had been learning about and how they can use these talents in their future careers.
- Activity in Linguistic Intelligence - students showcased their abilities in using English through Dramatic Arts and Drama.
- Activity in Mathematical/Logical Intelligence – Making a ‘Maths Board Game’ - students learnt about systematic thinking and solving problems through game playing.
- Activity in Visual-Spatial Intelligence - students used their imagination to invent new things. This included making an E-book , playing a Kodu Game, doing origami, D.I.Y., Junior Designing, Molding, Mixed Media Arts, Paper Craft, Pop Up Book, Story Pop Up, Paper Pulp Work, Basic of Art, Photography, Drafting , Computer Building and Candle Work.
- Activity in Bodily - Kinesthetic Intelligence such as Sports, Dance, Thai Dancing Arts and Contemporary Dance etc. Student learnt to control their bodies.
- Activity in Musical Intelligence such as Thai Music Shows in Chinese Cymbalo, Xylophone, fiddle, Chakhe and Western Music Shows in Drum, Guitar, Brass, Woodwind , Piano and Strings in solo performing and in a band.
- Activity in Natural Science such as learning about science through many activities such as Science Project, Kid Fun Sci and Science Decoration Fun Zone etc.
The school also gave the students from Year 1 to 3 to join the activities, to explore their abilities in order to choose what they would like to do when they study “M.I.” in Yr.4.
