วันที่ 18 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2411 King Mongkut (Rama IV) went to Whagor sub district, Prachuap Khiri Khan province on 18th August 1868 to look at the solar eclipse that would happen exactly as he had forecasted two years earlier. We acknowledge him as “The father of Thai Science”
and set 18th August every year to be National Science Day.
This year, Sarasas Ektra School Secondary Department hosted Science Day on 19th-20th August to recall King Mongkut’s kindness, and students joined in activity to build and develop skills in Science. Students learned to present their work with confidence and poise. This activity supported the good relationships among the schools in District 4, namely Sarasas Ektra School, Sarasas Witaed Minburi, Sarasas Witaed Saimai and Sarasas Witaed Nakon Pathom.
