Sarasas Ektra School Secondary Department held a scout camp for Year 8 Boy Scouts and Girl Guides for the Academic Year 2015 from the 1st – 3rd February 2016. The purpose of the camp was to get students to work as a team and learn how to plan together. The camp provided the students a great opportunity to gain real life experiences and for them to practice sacrificing (time), working in a harmonious way, sharing and to be disciplined. Students spent a total of 3 days and 2 nights at Baanrimnam Sport club, Bang Pakong, Chachoengsao Province. The activities were as follow:
Monday 1st February 2016
- A walk rally activity: practiced being patient, being disciplined and learning how to be a leader. The 4km route was at the campsite.
- 16 Adventure activity bases: Strength training, sacrificing, sharing and to try to never give up during the obstacles. The 16 bases included horse riding, Bull cliff, woodman bridge, climbing a net, climbing across a handrail, hanging, building a friendship bridge, Chingcha Charlee, multi-level bridge, rafting, wall climbing, rope bridge walking, using a monkey bridge to cross a river, using a cable to go across an island, chimney jump and a rope tunnel.
- Recreation activity: for fun and relaxing
- Observing and memorizing at night time: There were 6 bases such as an obstacle base, sound base, taste base, smell base, touch base and loss of sight base.
Tuesday 2nd February 2016
- 3 bases for learning how to send signals: Semaphore flags, Morse code (light) and Morse code(sound).
- Foreign teacher activity: 8 team building bases allowed students to practice working in a team and following instructions in English. The bases included a Pipeline game, Magic carpet, Land Mine, Word Scribbling, Helium Roll, Dynamic bucket game, Caterpillar and Team Volley.
- Camp fire activities: under the Theme “No one left behind”. Teachers chose the songs for students to use during the show:

- 3 Impression activity bases: these bases ensured the students left the campsite with a long lasting impression. The fun and exciting bases included; riding a horse carriage, riding on a speed boat and water boat.
