The Kindergarten Department of Sarasas Ektra School hosted Feast Day and Wai Kru Ceremony on Thursday 11th June 2015. The activities began with the Feast Day Ceremony for Mother Mary and Saint Dominico Savio, the Saint of the school. We asked for their blessings to protect teachers, students, janitors and school van drivers as well as keep everyone in good health. Wai Kru Ceremony followed. It was an activity for students to show respect, love and the deep bond to teachers with floral emblems, incense, candles and garlands. Student representatives from each year joined in the parade carrying floral emblems to give to teachers. It was an impressive scene. Then there was a show from KG. 3 student’s representative singing: The Thai 12 Virtues. It was a promise from kids to have virtue in their minds. The morning concluded with all the teachers making a circle around the students signaling their promise this year to take good care of the students by singing the “Teacher’s Promise.”
This year’s Wai Kru Ceremony was one of promises from students and from teachers, together to do their roles as best as they can. Thank you to all the parents who joined Feast Day and Wai Kru Ceremony. Your support and interest in our school activities is always sincerely appreciated.
