The Science Department of Sarasas Ektra School hosted World Environment Day on 2nd –5th June 2015 to build up awareness and make students realize that environmental problems are close to us. The activities were:
           There were contests for Junior Secondary on 2nd – 4th June 2015 such as English essay writing, poem writing and drawing: “Seven billion dreams, One planet, Consume with Care.” There were three activity bases. Each base had an activity supported by students to understand an environmental problem that was close to us, it was “Reduce, Recycle and Reuse”. Year 7-9 Secondary students also joined the activity in MI classes up until the 5th June 2015. It encouraged students to use resource wisely and be friendly to the environment. Starting with a Guessing the Animal Sound Game and a reading of the winning English essay, a singing show from a Year 6 student and finally certificates were presented to winning students of the contests.
