On the 14th of June 2016, Sarasas Ektra School hosted the 3rd Senior-Junior Relationship on the ground floor of St. John the Baptist Building. This activity started at 12.00 and finished at 15.10. The purpose of this activity was to strengthen the relationship between the seniors and the juniors and to give Year 12 students a chance to demonstrate their leadership.
The activity was divided into events as follows. First, the seniors organized a few games to break the ice. Then the students were encouraged to join rotation activities. They were divided into 4 houses of different colors – Sapphire, Emerald, Gold and Amethyst. Each house held different games, which were intended to teach them about camaraderie, sacrifice and endurance. Students also learned time management from these games.
After that there was a rite called
“Ektra Senior-Junior Bonding Ties”, in which the seniors tied ribbons around the juniors’ wrists to wish them good luck. Finally, there was a musical performance by the seniors. The atmosphere of this activity was marked with fun, affection for one another and camaraderie, all of which signified unshakable friendship and loyalty between the seniors and the juniors.
