On Saturday, 4 June 2016 an orientation meeting was held for parents of Year 7 students and new Year 8-12 students. It was held in the Auditorium on the 4th floor of Building 6, Primary campus. The purpose of the meeting was to inform parents of ways in which they and School can work together to help students be successful at school and in life outside.
Deputy Director Ms Busararat Kertpermpoon opened the meeting by introducing the school administrators. She then spoke about ways of developing students’ English language ability to its full potential. Mr James Gibson, Acting Head of foreign Staff, provided information regarding the Extra Class program in Years 7-9 and the GAc program in Years 10-12. Deputy Director Supavadee Chotiwannapor addressed the topic of student assessment under four headings:
1. Assessment in each learning area
2. Reading, critical thinking and writing
3. Desired characteristics, and
4. Results of learner development activities
Finally, Assistant Directors Pattaraporn Rattanapon and Tuptape Titinanawan spoke about school regulations and pastoral care of students, with emphasis on keeping students safe and stopping bullying.
