On the 6th – 8th October 2016, Sarasas Ektra School organised a Scout Camp for year 6 students at Sarasas Affiliated Scout Centre, Bang Bon. Students learnt many skills necessary for boy scouts and girl guides. Students completed many activities over 3 days and 2 nights, as follows:

          6th Oct 2016: Opening ceremony, trekking and team building - where students attended 12 bases, followed by activities and camp fire at night. There was also a special show, Zulu, from our teachers which brought our students joy and happiness. Later, there were amazing dramas performed in English by Yr.6B, Yr.6D  and Yr.6E

          7th Oct 2016: Scouts and guides took part in the following activities:

                    1. Adventure base (boating, rock climbing, balancing, rope tunnel)
                    2. Special scout subjects ( signaling - boy scouts and girl guides were able to send and receive messages using semaphore flags and Morse code
                    3. Pioneer – boy scouts and girl guides leant to pioneer such as building a rope bridge or a raft.
                    4. Camping - boy scouts and girl guides learnt to erect a tent and cook rice and simple food
                    5. Camp fire - including fun activities led by foreign teachers and amazing dramas performed in English by Yr.6A, Yr.6C and Yr.6F

          8th Oct 2016: Group activities at Sarasas Affiliated Scout Centre, morning exercise, followed by giving out the awards to boy scouts and girl guides. The closing ceremony was held at the Primary Dept., Sarasas Ektra School.
