On the 14th of June 2016, Sarasas Ektra Secondary School together with Boonmee Pururajrangsan Public Health Centre 7 hosted a seminar on Sexual Wellbeing at the seminar room on the 7th floor of St. John the Baptist Building. The audience was comprised of Year 10 students. The seminar started at 9 am and finished at 11 am.
One objective of this seminar was to make students aware of the importance of reserving themselves, of refraining from sex before marriage. Another objective was to raise their awareness of proper sexual behavior. The third objective was to pass on knowledge about sex to the students so they could further pass it on to their family and friends.
The overarching intention of the seminar was to provide instruction to the students on their sexual wellbeing. Lecturers from Boonmee Pururajrangsan Public Health Centre 7 spoke about how to prevent pregnancy and venereal disease. Apart from the lecture, students also watched short films about such social problems as improper teenage behavior, and they were encouraged to discuss the causes of these problems and how to solve them.
