Activities for CSR


           Sarasas Ektra School’s Secondary Department organised ‘Ektra Youth Leadership’ Activities for the students who were in the school’s leader groups that included scholarship students, class leaders, representatives from each class (as selected by homeroom teachers) and the students of the parties who had applied for the school’s President of Students Election. The main goal of these activities was to instill the idea of leadership so that they would grow up to be competent adults in the future. There were some interesting activities held in the buildup to the event as detailed below.

           On 24th June, 2017 Ektra Youth Leader Team which consisted of 67 studentsparticipated in the exhibition at Soka Gakkai Thailand (SGT), Pak Kret, Nonthaburi. The theme was “The Lotus Sutra Exhibition – A Message of Peace and Harmonious Coexistence”. By joining this, the students had an opportunity to learn more about how to live harmoniously together and were taught how to value themselves and appreciate others. Having had this foundation concept in mind, the students tended to accept one another and not bully others again.

           On July 1st 2017, the NationalHealth development Association of Thailand (NHAT) came to organise the seminar at the Secondary Department under the topic “Youth Safe from HIV”. The seminar was organised for 59 students from lower and upper secondary. The students would have gained a better understanding about HIV and AIDS, types of risky and non-risky behaviours and how to prevent oneself from getting HIV. The purpose of this event was to help Ektra youth to stay safe from HIV. Additionally, the students who took part in this activity will be able to share their knowledge and experience from the event to others in future activities.
