Pinata and Farewell Ceremony

On 2nd March 2018 Sarasas Ekta School organized "The Pinata and Farewell Ceremony". This has been a long-held tradition of our school for the Yr.12 graduates. For the Pinata activity the Yr.12 students filled paper bags with sweets and hung them around the crescent court. Then the junior students from Yr.2 - 11, who were seated around the Y.12s heard a "BOOM" from Yr.6 and Yr.11. After which the Yr. 12 students hit the bags and released the sweets to the junior students. The sweets symbolizes "Love, Bonding and Good Feeling" towards their junior and, furthermore, it builds unity between the seniors and juniors.

After the activities the Y.12 students went to their homerooms and said the thank you prayer to St. Dominico Savio and Mother Mary. Than the students paid gratitude, said thank you and asked for forgiveness from their teachers. Later, there was a "Ritual Binding" ceremony, well-wishing speeches by administrators and then the students went to say thank you prayers at the John Bosco building. Lastly, the students walked past while paying respect and saying thank you to the teachers and student representatives.
