On the 26th of June 2017, Sarasas Ektra School celebrated SunthornPhu Day. The activity was organised by Thai Language Department (Primary). The purpose was to commemorate the birthday of the world-renowned Thai Poet,SunthornPhu, who is best known for his epic fantasy poem PhraAphaiMani .Furthermore, he was regarded as “the Shakespeare of Thailand”, and “the Rattanakosin-Era Royal Poet”. Additionally, he was honoured by UNESCO to be one of the world’s most important people in the field of literature.
There were various activities and competitions held for the students in the buildup of this special day such as an exhibition about SunthornPhu’s biography, example of his literary work, drawing and colouring competitions and a SunthornPhu Quiz etc.
