Sarasas Ektra School held Father’s Day activities to commemorate the grace and honor of His Majesty, King Bhumibol Adulyadej Boromnart Bophit, and record our appreciation of the father and benefactor of our country.
The school started organizing activities since in November which teachers from various subject departments organising contests for students to demonstrate their ability according to their aptitude as classified in the theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI). Various subjects were integrated in order to submit entries for the contest, such as making a video clip, model making, realistic drawing, Speech Contest, and so on. An award ceremony was held on the 3rd of December, 2018 for Kindergarten and Secondary departments. The Primary department’s ceremony was held on the 4th of December.
Within the event, there are also musical performances, royal songs, information presentations about the royal initiative projects, descriptions of royal projects, and speeches of winning students. The representative of KG.2 students, Mr. Aphakorn Kehachareon, father of Mstr. Ramil Paleansinchai, KG.2D gave a heartfelt speech in which he shared his experiences of fatherhood with students and parents.
After completing the ceremony in the morning, the school gave an opportunity to the fathers of students in KG.2 and Yr. 3 levels to do father - son one heart activities. The details are as follows:
- KG.2 activities began with an exercise led by foreign teachers. Then fathers and children together played games while the mothers were the cheer leaders. The whole event was filled with images of great love and enjoyment.
- Yr.3 watched the chorus performance of primary school students and listened to the winning speeches from Yr. 3 Then it was time for children to show their love for their father while students were singing the song ‘Father’s children’, and transformed letters into the sentence ‘I love Dad’. In the final activity, father and students in each room played games together with lots of fun.
The Speech of Director Mr. Pisut Yongkamol
On the occasion of Father’s Day, 2018
The grace of His Majesty King Rama IX, is highly appreciated and greatly honored throughout the seven decades with the genius that has made many contributions. It became clear to many countries until he was regarded as being ‘A truly great King’.
King Rama IX is a good example of a simple and sufficient life. He touched the hands of the farmers. He had humility that was greatly respected by foreigners. Today, students listen to the royal projects and achievements of King Rama IX, and Master would like to ask students to follow in his footsteps. Today is our Father’s Day Activity; Master would like students to embrace your father every day. Let’s do it. It’s a good thing. When your parents take you to school don’t forget to turn back to say thank you. Don’t be interested only in friends. We have heard news that children have posted on Facebook rudely messages to their parents. Master would like to request those students stop the rough words which indicate an aggressive seed inside them. Thank you to teachers and parents who help to teach and raise our children; you must persevere with the aggressiveness of some children until they cease that behaviour.
Christmas is coming soon and there will be the AFR activity. AFR is the abbreviation of Apology, Forgiveness and Reconciliation in which students will receive an apology and forgiveness from their friends on that day.
Today, it would be beneficial for all eagles’ blood to have the humble heart and mind of His Majesty and use his Royal works as your guideline for conducting and adapting to your study. On this Father’s Day Activity, students who are not with their father, don’t be angry or hurt. We choose to embrace the mother and benefactors who raise us. We kiss, speak words of love and be good children all the time, and we thank all fathers and parents for giving your deeply respected time to this event today.
