On February 20th 2019, Piñata activities and Building Farewell ceremony were held for yr.12 students. It was a farewell event before the end of secondary school studies. In the morning, the ceremony was held together with younger students in Yrs. 7-11 at the Secondary department. In the afternoon organized activities were held with students in the Primary department from Yrs. 2- 6.

            In this activity representatives of administrators and teachers blessed students and the president of the students told about his feelings throughout his studies at Ektra. Then the elder students in Yr.12 stood around younger students and used the wooden sticks to hit the hanging paper bag Piñatas until they were torn out and the candies inside fell out. The candies are the symbol of love, bonding and good feeling that elder brothers and sisters delivered to the younger students. In addition, there were lucky draws and the gifts to give to younger students as well.

            After completing the Piñata activities, there was a building farewell ceremony in which yr.12 students went to their own classroom to do farewell rituals in buildings and classrooms and received blessing from their class teachers. They then received the felicitous leaves from the administrators, payed homage to St. Dominico Savio at the St. John Bosco building and offered flowers to Holy Mary at St. John Baptist building. This was the final ceremonial act.
