During March 27th - April 27th, 2018, Sarasas Ektra School organized Summer Camp 2018 activity to let students have some new experiences both inside and outside classroom, which included getting them ready for the new Academic year. The activities organized were:

            - Ektra Book Day - This activity was organized to encourage students’ to fall in love with books and reading. The students were asked to bring in books they loved from home to be read during their break time at school. After this, the students were granted an opportunity to share their thoughts from the book they were reading with their friends. Furthermore, the students also dressed up as characters from their favourite books and participated in a fashion show with their teachers. Lastly, the students rotated around different book and reading related  bases.

            - Gardener Trip - KG. 3 students joined an activity with Yr. 8 students at our Secondary Department. KG. 3 students participated in different activity bases such as Cooking, My Plant, and Veggie Garden Tour. By joining these bases, the students learned a lot about different parts of plants, how to cultivate simple plants for cooking at home and how to cook (fried vegetables).

            - Plearn Camp (Play + Learn = Plearn) - Students participated in Breakthrough Camp to learn and develop different skills in fun ways such as Decoding, Magnetic Work, Aerodrone, Sensing Activity and Adventure games.

            Primary Department

                        Yr.1 - 3 students joined the field trip to Thai Health Promotion Foundation to enjoy “My Happiness Exhibition”. The other field trip was arranged for Yr. 4-6 students to TK Park.

            Secondary Department

                                    Yr. 7-9 participated in the field trip to The National Science Museum. There, the students had an opportunity to visit 3 different museums; Natural Science Museum, Information Technology Museum, and Science Museum. The other separated activity was organized for Yr. 10; GAC Preparation Course (Language), Extra Preparation Course (Extra Class) and Bilingual Preparation Course  (Science-Math). The students had an opportunity to visit Medical Museum at Siriraj Hospital, Investment discovery Museum and Kantana Institute to learn about filmmaking. This included sound recording, color adjusting and TV program recording.

            - MI Activity - Students chose and participated in different learning stations to help them further develop their skills. The bases included Photography, Creative Art, Singing and Dance, Cooking, D.I.Y., Science, Sport, Board Games, and Computer.

            - Mini Concert (Summer Music Camp 2018) - Students demonstrated their musical talents and potential with Thai traditional music and international music, which included solo and ensemble performances. Parents were invited to be the audience. This activity really helped students further develop their musical skills.

            - English Camp - KG.2 and KG.3 students practiced and learned English skills with foreign teachers through different learning activities such as Act it Out, Creative Thinking, Exploration, and Book Smart. Furthermore, Episode 1 students had an opportunity to go on two field trips to Imaginia : The Playland of Imagination at The Emporium and Butterfly Park (Wachirabenchathat Park). For Episode 2 students, the students went on a field trip to TK Park and had some special treats, which included ice cream at Swnesen’s, and Fantasia Lagoon at The Mall Bangkae. Through these activities, the students learned a lot and had lots of fun.

            - Wheels Ahead - This activity was organized for Yr.1-3 students. The activity was organized in form of an English Camp, which allowed the students to learn English with foreign teachers. The students practiced their English skills through different activities in “Imagination and Creativity Theme”. For instance, drama, drawing, drama writing, etc. Additionally, the students were taken to learn outside classroom at Kidzania and Imaginia : The Playland of Imagination (The Emporium Shopping Complex).

            - Full Stream Camp - This camp was for Y. 4-6 students. The camp was designed to be an English Camp and the students learned English with foreign teachers to intensively improve English skills under a theme called “Space Adventure”. The activities included making Alien Masks, Galaxy Clay Activity, UFO Spacecraft Making, etc. The students gained lots of knowledge and also had fun with some out of school activities organized at the Science Centre for Education and The Escape Hunt Experience Bangkok.
