Primary and Secondary Departments conducted a singing contest, ‘Ektra Singing Contest 2019’, to provide a platform for students with singing ability to show their talent and their potential. Details are as follows;

- The Audition Stage              Applications were accepted for auditioning in June and July. Applicant had to sing unaccompanied for no more than one minute. Students in Years 4-6 recorded VDO clips to send to the website ‘Ektra Primary Singing Contest 2019’.
             Secondary students sang live with no self-introduction and with the singer’s face hidden. Those most successful entered the final round.

- The Final Round              Primary students who passed on to the Final Round competed on July 30. Secondary Students competed on July 31st . Students had to sing with accompaniment. Scoring criteria were as follows:
Scoring criteria in the Final round: Primary Department
             1.Character and voice usage 25 Points
             2.Melody, Dynamic 25 Points
             3.Performance and Song meaning communication 25 Points
             4.Techniques and creativity in singing 25 Points
             Total 100 Points

             Scoring criteria in the Final round: Secondary Department
             1.Melody 30 Points
             2.Performance 30 Points
             3.Techniques 40 Points
             Total 100 Points
