For National Father’s Day in the academic year 2019
On the occasion of the birthday of King Rama IX on the 5thof December Thai people celebrate ‘National Father’s Day’ to recognise His Majesty’s benevolence and honor and also let children show gratitude for the Father’s grace.
King Rama IX was the role model of a ‘Good Father’. His Majesty taught that being a father is not an easy task. His people bring his teachings to take care of their children, acknowledging difficulties for the children to make them be comfortable. Some fathers carry a lot of burdens without letting anyone know. Children see parents as superheroes. Even teachers who teach us can be considered as another ‘father’ because teachers take care, instructing and developing students from childhood until graduation. I always think that we don’t know how long we will be with our children, so we should spend as much time with them as possible, taking photos as mementos to keep it for our children’s day of graduation. We should let our children know that if one day father is not here, still father still loves them as before. And students should love and honor father a lot. We should not compare our father with other people, such as “Why does our Dad uses an old phone? I feel shy with my friends”. But students, did you know that parents do not want to waste money on nonsense; they want to save money for your future, so don’t let one phone damage relationships in your family. Especially, when eating together, you should not use your mobile phone because it is family time.
Finally, I would like to congratulate students who have received the various awards and would like to praise the large group of 86 students who performed very well. I am truly proud of the teachers who trained them and also their parents. I would like to thank the teachers who organized this event and all parents who honored us with their attendance today.
