The Secondary Department organized an ‘Educational Guidance Exhibition 2019’ on September 11, 2019 at the Auditorium, 4th floor, Building 6 for students in Yrs. 9-12. The purpose was to inform them about various educational institutes and professional institutions that will help them to make the right choice about tertiary education according to their ability, aptitude and satisfaction.
Students attended a talk on the topic ‘The Pathways to University’ by Alumni batches 20 and 21 and presentations on scholarships abroad from the Embassy of Hungary, the Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA), Bangor University (GAC Pathway), St. George’s University, and Hands-on Bangkok. After that, they visited the booths to get information from various faculties of the universities, both public and private, such as the Faculty of Engineering and Arts at Chulalongkorn University, Sirindhorn Institute of Technology, Thammasat University, International College, Mahidol University, Assumption University (ABAC), Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) Japan, Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts, England, and others.
For the afternoon activities, organized at St. John Bosco and St. John Baptist buildings, students attended talks about various programs, both Thai and International, in each university. These were held in various rooms, and covered courses such as Health Science, Engineering, Science, Business Administration and Economics, Architecture and Liberal Arts, Humanities, Social Science, Fine and Applied Arts. There was also a workshop about study abroad and portfolios, conducted by CSVPA. A Q & A session also enabled students to get further information about their future studies.
