National Mother’s Day activity 2019

On 8-9 August 2019 Sarasas Ektra School organized the National Mother’s Day activity to honor Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and encouraged students to show love and gratitude to mothers and caregivers.

In the activity there were speeches from students who won the winning awards in the English speech contest, music performances from the Chorus and Ektra Primary Band, and a Drama performance. The school was honoured to hear speeches from the mother of Miss Thanunyapa Thanapinunchai Yr.12A and the mother of Miss Phonnarin Bunchongprasert Yr.3E, both of whom gave good ideas and moral instruction to students.

The Director’s Speech by Mr. Pisut Yongkamon

On the occasion of National Mother’s day activity in the academic year 2019

Queen Sirikit, Queen and Queen Mother, is a prototype of “the one who does things without announcing it”. Her Majesty has worked for the benefit of the people for a long time. Her Majesty conserves the natural resources and the environment for Thai children at the same time as she procures water resources for local people in remote areas by establishing the project “Forest loves water” as well as other projects.

Today is ‘National Mother’s Day’. Anyone who still has a mother, please don’t forget to show love to her and don’t forget to say ‘I love you and think of you always’. Tell stories to mother, even about little things, as mother would like to hear everything about her child; this delights her and makes her feel happy. For those who don’t have their mother with them then request to give the merit because the mother will remain in their mind forever. My mother is now 83 years old and is not very healthy, so Master takes care and tries to do everything as mother would like. Always showing concern, for example, telling Mother that she ‘cannot eat this kind of food because it has a lot of fat”. Master must maintain the relationship and stay in touch with mother all the time because we are always still children in our mother’s eyes.

Finally, Master is proud of the Ektra band and Ektra singers; they have a lot of potential. If they were not supported by Foreign and Thai teachers we probably would not have today. And thank you to all mothers for their honor and devotion to today’s event. Thank you very much.
