FedEx Express/JA International Trade Challenge Program
Now an annual event in the Sarasas Ektra School calendar, the FedEx International Trade Challenge this year has just produced six new champions of Thailand.
It all started on Sunday 23rd June with an interesting workshop at Bangkok Patana International School. Twenty students from Y.11 and Y.12, accompanied by Mr. Phil Langley and Mr. Arjun Paudel, spent the day learning about Business procedures and practices before finally learning of this year’s product and target market.
The challenge for the students was to come up with a new beauty product for Indonesia, so lots of research had to be done before the students could begin their Market Entry Strategy / Business Plan. Around 170 students from Thailand attended the workshop, but only the 16 best Business Plans were chosen, and the students invited back to present their products to a panel of judges.
The sixteen finalists were from…
Sarasas Ektra School (3)
Satit Kaset International Program (6)
St. Joseph’s Bangna (4)
Bangkok Patana International School (1)
Concordian International School (1)
Thewphaingarm Canadian Bilingual School (1)
There were some excellent presentations, and some very interesting products, but the panel of judges had some tough questions for all the students. The ones who kept their cool and gave in-depth answers were the eventual winners.
The six winners – “Champions of Thailand” came from four different schools…
