October Camps 2015

           Academic Support and Development Camp    The camp ran from 5th – 9th October 2015 at Sarasas Ektra Secondary department. The school hosted the camp free of charge to improve student’s abilities such as music, sport and academic ability as well as getting students ready for shows and contests that coming up in Semester 2/2015. More importantly students learnt to use their free time during the holiday wisely. Students who attended the camp saw good self-development in themselves. There were many camps such as:
           1. Music Development Camp Developed musical instrument skills to the next level. There were many bands such as the Symphonic Band, String Band, Chorus Band, Jazz Band and Thai Music Band.
           2. Sport Development Camp Continue practicing on the sporting skills to further refine and become proficient in their chosen sport such as futsal or basketball.
           3. Yr. 9 O-NET Tutoring Camp Learning more on the contents of the Y. 9 O-NET tests in Mathematics, Science, Thai language, Social Studies and English subjects.
           4. Yr. 10 Academic Preparation camp The Science-Math program: Studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. The Art program: Studied English, Grammar and Mathematics.
           5. Debate Camp Developing the four skills in English of speaking, listening, reading and writing applicable for good debaters.
           6. The 16th Mathematics Thinking and Problem Solving Tutoring Camp Thinking and solving Mathematical problem by concentrating on problem solving and analysis techniques.

           Personality Improvement Activity    Sarasas Ektra Secondary Student Discipline and Activities Group hosted an activity to change and improve student’s personality by taking more responsibility and encouraging good self discipline from 5th -6th October 2015. Students not passing an evaluation had to change their behavior concentrating on body, mind and society. Students had to practice being patient when bored and facing difficulty, building concentration, knowing how to sacrifice for society and changing the way they thought of themselves – not to be self centered. The activities were:
           5th October 2015
           - Phra Ajarn Joe from Tham Singto Thong Temple, Ratchaburi Province and teacher Dr. Suriyon (Nop) Labnongseang presented “Culture and Inspiration to Improve Yourself” to students.
           - Drawing pictures on a cloth water bottle bag. The topic was “Save Water”. Yr. 11 students who attended the leadership camp for building virtue and helping community batch 18 will bring the cloth water bottle bags to give to children at Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai Province on 8th -13th November 2015.
           6th October 2015
           - A Helping Society Activity by bringing consumer goods and a cash donation at the Pakkret Home for Children with Disabilities (Baan Nontapum) in Nonthaburi Province.
