Sarasas Ektra’s “Stop Bullying” Campaign Activities


             Sarasas Ektra School launched a campaign to “Stop Bullying” wanting school to be a safe place for all students. “Stop Bullying”posters were posted around the school to inform students and for them to follow. Teachers and students from each department hosted activities to support the campaign since the beginning of semester 1, 2014.

Infant Department :
             :   Displays of “Stop Bullying” posters around school for students to understand the meaning of “Stop Bullying”.
             :   Kindergarten student shad to take a Media class 1 period per week. Students learned about “Stop Bullying” campaigns from cartoons and stories that were used to help them understand that bullying is not good and friends should love each other. During the semester the Student Council from Secondary supported the campaign at Infant Department by performing a Drama called “Stop Bullying” in August 2014.


Primary Department :
             :   Dancing to songs about the meaning of bullying.Produced and aired an Educational VDO of student interviews with questions like What is a friend? What is bullying? Why bully? How can you stop bullying? Etc.
             :   Made pledges to recite and remember about “Stop Bullying”.
During the semester the campaign continued :
             :   Students recited “stop bullying” pledges every morning
             :   Were tested on the pledges meanings.
             :   Year 4-6 students wrote Thai RCW in the topic of “Stop Bullying”, to see how well they understood the campaign.
             :   In Morality classes, students learned about bullying and the result of bullying and how to prevent bullying.

Secondary Department :
             :   Created Stop Bullying Boards to guide on what to do when bullying occurs and set up a postbox for students to report any bullying incidents.
             :   In the morning before assembly all students took turns to watch VDO clips about bullying and write a report about the clip. Teachers and students discussed information about bullying such as : What is a friend? What is bullying? Why bully? How can you stop bullying? Etc.
During the semester the campaign continued :
             :   Teachers interviewed students about personal life and family, recording info and reporting it to participants.
             :   Foreign teachers took turns to set up “Stop Bullying” activities every Friday such as dramas, music shows about violence and bullying, singing, and writing songs.
             :   Thai Teachers asked students to write a poem about “Stop Bullying”, Art teachers set up a drawing project about “Stop Bullying.”
             :   The Student Council made a video about “Stop Bullying”
             :   หลังเคารพธงชาติ Students pledged the “Stop Bullying” promises at every morning assembly.
