GAC ‘4’ Graduation Ceremony

Saturday 11th July, 2015 saw the culmination of three years hard work, as the students of GAC Generation ‘4’ received their certificates and celebrated their success. This year, as with last year, two students achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA: Ram Sukkirtkijpibul and Kanyanut Anunsiriprapha were both busy with university commitments and were unable to be at the ceremony, but their achievements were read out and well received by the audience. Most of the other students made it for their big day.

Director's Speech

Good afternoon and a warm welcome to our special guests, Ms. Kaye Dunn the Senior Academic Manager from ACT Education Solutions in Sydney and Ms. Christine Hoe, the Regional Academic Manager from the ACT Singapore office, Administrators, Teachers and Yr. 12 students:

GAC Eaglettes – you are the 4th group of students to graduate under the wings of Ektra and the GAC program. Congratulations to all of you for the accomplishments you have achieved through hard work, perseverance and learning many important skills which will give you the best chance for a successful future.

Skills are the new currency of success. Knowledge is easy to find now-a-days and it changes so quickly. However skills are a set of abilities you can do well. For example – managing time or critical thinking or problem solving are important skills to have. Once you learn them and know how to use them, you’ll have them for life. They don’t get outdated. Many of you have felt the pressure and hardship of starting to learn skills in the GAC. The good news is they are going to be with you and help you forever more.

GAC Graduates, batch 4, stand tall for what you have achieved so far and be ready to navigate the obstacles and hurdles you face in the future by applying the skills you have learnt in the GAC and at Ektra. Please remember you will always be cherished as Ektra graduates and you should always feel this is still your home. Come back to tell us of your progress and what’s happening in your lives when you have the chance.

As I wish you the best in success and continued learning, remember to thank the teachers who have helped to lead you to this point. Take the time today to say thank you and show them a little appreciation for how they have helped you advance and learn the new skills which will be so important in the next chapter of your lives.

Your futures are now in your own hands. Congratulations on your graduation from Yr. 12 and from the GAC program.
