Sarasas Ektra continued with its long tradition of holding Christmas Drama shows during the build up to the Christmas and New Year holidays. The shows for the Academic Year of 2017 for NC to Year 12 students were held between 18th -22nd Dec. 2017. As with the previous year, the shows were held at different campuses.

For Infants (NC – KG2) there were shows in the morning (from the 19th) and on the first day the Infants chorus performed too. The shows were held on Crescent Court 1 (in front of Dominic 1).

In Primary (KG3 – Year 6) there were shows in the morning and in the afternoon (between 8-10 classes spread over both sessions) and held in the Auditorium. This year KG3 joined the Primary Department and had an opportunity to experience performing on the Auditorium stage. The Infants, Primary and Secondary Chorus’ performed on the stage during the week on different occasions. All of them sang and performed wonderfully!

Secondary held their shows (at Soi 26) in one long session starting in the morning and finishing in the afternoon (from the 19th onwards). As in the years gone by many parents came to support and cheer on the students at all campuses. The Secondary chorus also performed.

All the students (at all departments) had an opportunity to showcase their acting, musical and linguistic talents on the stage in front of a live audience. Foreign and Thai homeroom teachers directed all the performances. It was clear to see that all the students had a great time on stage and would have learnt important life skills during the practices and rehearsals; such as teamwork, patience, problem solving and time management. The shows also gave the students (and teachers) a wonderful opportunity to develop and display their creativity and develop their confidence. All the shows were brilliant and parents, teachers and students enjoyed watching the performances.

This year, each department had a different set of awards and criteria. Judging panels were set up individually and these and the categories are detailed below.
