            The band was established in 2001.There were originally 16 members. The purpose of the band was to play for school events only. In year 2006 the Director, Mr. Pisut Yongkamol implemented the policy to support music activities in Symphonic Band for students to be in harmony, have discipline, be responsible and to use their free time more valuably. The school looked for students who loved music to join the Symphonic Band and found students for each instrument. Additional instruments were introduced to match the members of the band.
            Sarasas Ektra Symphonic Band entered contests within ASEAN and has joined many events since 2007 up until now, winning many awards.
            1. Fourth place and prize money of 100,000 baht in the 9th Asian Symphonic Band Competition, hosted by Mahidol University in 2007.
            2. Second place with a trophy from Mahidol University and prize money of 500,000 bahtin the 9th Asian Symphonic Band Competition 2008. There were 44 band members and 12 music teachers.
            3. In the same year, the band was honored to be the representative for Thailand in the Beijing International Band Festival 2009 in China. The event was to build a good relationship between the countries through music. Other countries joining were Malaysia, Taiwan, China.
            4. Winner with a trophy from King Bhumibol Adulyadej and prize money of 1,000,000 baht from the Thailand International Wind Ensemble Competiiton 2009. There were 61 band members and 12 music teachers.
            5. Performing in the 15th Jubilee of Sarasas Ektra School: The Festive Crystal Jubilee: Plays of Our Angels in 2010.
            6. Third place in the Thailand International Wind Ensemble Competition 2012, Class B, Hosted by the College of Music Mahidol University. Ektra’s Wind Ensemble had 53 band members and 10 music teachers.
           Sarasas Ektra Symphonic Band (2014) has 60 members. The number of performers will depend on the type of music and show being presented. From Year 7-12, including the music teachers they are……
